Future Programs
1. To implement the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) for control of Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) & Brucellosis. All the Livestock Population will be vaccinated against these contagious diseases as per GOI guidelines.
2. Antirabies Vaccination of Pet Dogs at institutions level and Vaccination of Stray dogs in collaboration with Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
3. Implementation of Pashudhan kisan Credit Card (PDKCC) Scheme in collaboration with Lead Bank.
4. Monitoring and Surveillance of Bird Flu, Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE).
5. Seromonitoring of Foot & Mouth Disease & Brucellosis Disease notified by Govt. of India.
6. Artificial Insemination of Cattle & Buffaloes to achieve sustainable growth and development of livestock to increase per head productivity and overall production through genetic improvement.
